Construction Update: The Latest Community Development at Bloom Fort Collins
The roots are being planted for development at Bloom. This new Fort Collins community is abuzz with activity, transforming empty space into a character-filled, expressive place where you will want to be.
“We’re thrilled to see things take shape at Bloom Fort Collins. Because what’s planned for this strip of Mulberry Avenue, just west of I-25 at the gateway to downtown Fort Collins, is what the area has needed for a while,” says Shane Westlind, vice president of land development for Hartford Homes. “Pretty soon we’ll start to see landscaping take hold and colors start to pop.”
Here’s what’s happening at Bloom Fort Collins:
- The Roundabout is complete at Greenfields Gateway, Bloom’s grand entrance that will be overflowing with biophilia, blooming plants and lush greenery. What a way to be welcomed home! While the intersection is still under construction, this dynamic natural entryway is taking shape, and we like what we’re seeing.
- The first phase of road work is almost complete. The roads that will take you where you want to be in Bloom are nearly finished, with a planned completion date of mid-June. In the spring, a brand-new street signal will be installed along Mulberry Avenue at the entrance to Bloom, making your arrival at home even more seamless.
- Landscaping begins soon! The green thumbs will come out at Bloom Fort Collins this spring as the team begins seeding native, naturalized and manicured areas throughout the new community, as well as the landscaped areas along the Upper and Lower Aria trail system. This is a major step for Bloom, as biophilia is a crucial ingredient for the Urban in Nature experience offered in this pioneering new community.
- The character elements that will make Bloom feel like home are on track to be completed this fall. That includes small features like benches and trash cans; mailbox kiosks and pump houses that will be adorned with floral murals and eventually living plant life; and the entry monument and community signage. By fall, these intentionally designed elements will be in place, creating a full, immersive community experience for visitors and residents alike.
- Work continues on the upgraded, vibrant Mulberry Avenue Corridor. Bloom will be at the forefront of Mulberry Avenue, where thoughtful development is transforming this industrial area. Mulberry Avenue is a direct shot from downtown Fort Collins to the new community of Bloom. It’s a convenient and easy way to get where you need to go, but with all the new shops, restaurants, and businesses coming to this corridor, you’ll want to slow down and enjoy the journey.
Bloom’s Best Developments Will Make Your Summers
We’re in the thick of winter, and even those who are enjoying powder days on the mountain are dreaming of warmer temps and sunnier days. Summertime is going to be exciting at Bloom, a community designed for making happy memories outside.
It’ll be easy to welcome the summer season at Bloom with the future resort-style pool where you can lounge, splash, and get in your laps, and the Community Green where you can play a game of frisbee or sprawl out on a picnic blanket for movie night. Get excited for long, lazy summer days, where you can plant yourself in a lounge chair or on the grass and soak up the sun – talk about a place where you can bloom!
Of course, the development of this incredible new community wouldn’t be possible without the home builders who are making it a reality: Hartford Homes and Brightland Homes. Both of these impressive local builders will be ready for sales in the next couple of months, with model homes opening in the spring, so stay tuned!
